We chose the name "Wiesberg" (that means "meadow mountain") for our house because this is the name of our farm. We farm about 5.5 hectare meadow and about 8 hectare wood. In the summer, we mow the meadows three times. The hay is stored for the winter in our barn. Our alp is located close to the skiing region Horberg where we make hay once in the beginning of July.
On our farm, we have 10 milk cows. They only spend the time between the middle of October and the middle of May in our stable in the valley, in the summer, they enjoy fresh mountain air and the fresh herbs of the alps. From the middle of May, they stay 2 to 3 weeks on our little alp and then they spend the summer on the alp of the Wechselberger family. In the beginning of September, they come back to our alp, and in the middle of October, they come back to the valley.
Our other animals stay in the valley: two cats, a rabbit, a guinea pig and some chickens.
